THE VENTINOX WARRANTY

American BOA, Inc. (ABI) guarantees that VENTINOX chimney liners (Liners), and ONLY the Liners, are free from defects in materials and manufacturers workmanship. ProTech Systems, Inc. (PTS) guarantees that the FasNClamp Components (Components), and ONLY the Components, are free from defects in materials and manufacturers workmanship. These are limited warranties subject to the following time periods and conditions:

WARRANTY PERIODS

LIFETIME WARRANTY for oil, wood, and pellet-burning installations. When used to vent UL-listed residential oil-burning heating equipment, oil-burning water heaters, wood stoves, wood-burning fireplaces, and pellet- stoves, Liners made from 316 or 321 stainless steel ONLY are guaranteed by ABI and Components made from 316 or 321 stainless steel ONLY are guaranteed by PTS for the lifetime of the original purchaser, provided they were installed according to PTS' installation instructions at time of the original installation and as long as the original purchaser continues to own the home in which the Liner and Components were originally installed. If the home is sold during the lifetime of the original Liner purchaser, these warranties shall transfer to the buyer of the home for a period of ten (10) years from the date of the Liner and Components installation.

LIFE TIME WARRANTY for gas-burning installations. When used to vent UL-listed, Category I residential natural gas or propane fired heating systems, gas burning water heaters, or gas fireplaces, Liners made from 316 or AL29-4C stainless steel ONLY are guaranteed by ABI and Components made from 316 or AL29-4C stainless steel ONLY are guaranteed by PTS for the lifetime of the original purchaser, provided they were installed according to PTSs installation instructions at the time of original installation and as long as original purchaser continues to own the home in which the liner was originally installed. If the home is sold during the lifetime of the original Liner purchaser, these warranties shall transfer to the buyer of the home for a period of ten (10) years from the date of the Liner and Components installation.

TEN-YEAR WARRANTY coal burning installations. When used to vent coal-burning heaters or fireplaces, Liners made from 316 stainless steel ONLY are guaranteed by ABI and Components made from 316 stainless steel ONLY are guaranteed by PTS for ten (10) years from the date of the Liner and Components installation, provided they were installed according to PTSs installation instructions and properly insulated with TherMix chimney insulation or ProFoil ceramic fiber blankets at the time of original installation.

WARRANTY CONDITIONS

Liner and Component warranties contained herein are subject to the following conditions:
(1) The Liner and Components must be installed according to PTSs written procedures;
(2) The Liner and Components are used only to line or reline chimneys venting residential appliances for which the liner was intended; and (3) documented annual inspection of the Liner and Components and maintenance as deemed necessary, beginning one year after the date of installation and continuing throughout the warranty period, by a Nationally Certified Chimney Sweep or VENTINOX installer.

The Liner and Components warranty is further subject to compliance with the following requirements throughout the warranty period: The chimney must have a chimney cap. Chemical chimney cleaners must not be used when cleaning the Liner or Components. Plastic-bristle flue cleaning brushes are recommended. Driftwood or other wood containing salt, preservative-treated lumber, plastic and household trash or garbage, or wood pellets containing such materials must not be burned in the appliance or fireplace. In case of a chimney fire, the chimney must be inspected and approved by a certified Chimney Sweep before reuse. After each annual inspection, maintenance, and cleaning, the certified Chimney Sweep must fill out and date the appropriate section of this warranty card.

LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY

ABI AND/OR PTS DO NOT ASSUME ANY LIABILITY OR RESPONSIBILITY FOR FAULTY INSTALLATION OF THE VENTINOX LINER OR COMPONENTS, OR FOR DEFECTIVE MATERIALS NOT SUPPLIED BY THEM. LIABILITY FOR SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES AND FOR ANY COSTS OF REMOVAL OR INSTALLATION ASSOCIATED WITH THIS WARRANTY IS EXPRESSEDLY EXCLUDED. EXCEPT AS DESCRIBED HEREIN, ABI AND/OR PTS MAKE NO WARRANTY, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR OTHERWISE.

THE FASNSEAL WARRANTY

ProTech Manufacturing, Inc. (PTM) guarantees that the FasNSeal Special Gas Vent System is free of defects in material, manufacturer's workmanship and title. This is a limited warranty subject to the following time periods and conditions.

WARRANTY PERIOD

The warranty period is fifteen (15) years from the date of installation and when used for venting AGA listed Category II, III or IV gas heating equipment or water heaters in residential applications.

CONDITIONS

The FasNSeal warranty is subject to the following conditions: 1) the vent system is installed according to the manufacturer's written procedures; 2) the use of the vent system is limited to those appliances for which it is intended; 3) the vent system is inspected and maintained annually, beginning one year after the date of installation and continuing throughout the warranty period.

If the FasNSeal Special Gas Vent System does not meet the warranties specified above, assuming normal and proper installation, use and maintenance, the buyer shall promptly notify PTM in writing. PTM shall thereupon correct any defect at its expense by replacing any defective or damaged parts of the system supplied under this contract. This obligation, however, is limited to the supply of replacement parts and does not include any responsibility or obligation with respect to the shipment, removal or installation of the replaced system or parts. The warranty period for replacement shall run from the date of the original installation of the original system.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

The following warranties are exclusive and in lieu of all other warranties, whether written, oral, implied or statutory. PTM MAKES NO OTHER EXPRESSED, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY WARRANTIES TO THE BUYER AND EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

The foregoing shall constitute the only remedies to the buyer for claims based on a defect in, or failure of the system or its components, whether said claims are designated as arising in contract, warranty, tort (including negligence), strict liability, indemnity, or otherwise. Upon the expiration of the warranty period, all such liability shall terminate. LIABILITY FOR SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES ARE EXPRESSLY EXCLUDED. PTM does not warrant the system or its components against normal wear and tear due to operation or environment.
